Sayyid Sameer Ali is a seasoned religious scholar and mental health practitioner with a unique background that bridges Islamic scholarship and clinical care. He spent six years studying in the hawza, gaining a solid foundation in traditional Islamic sciences, and later earned a Master’s degree in Religious Studies from Stanford University, with a focus on the intersection of faith, spirituality, and contemporary life.
He is currently pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, expanding his ability to serve the emotional and psychological needs of the Muslim community.
– A Board-Certified Chaplain, Sayyid Sameer has provided over 10 years of pastoral support in medical, hospice, and university settings, helping individuals navigate grief, illness, trauma, and life transitions through a faithcentered lens.
Passionate about Islamic psychology and spiritual wellness, he specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, spiritual struggles, and career-related stress, offering an approach that integrates clinical tools with Islamic values. His work is guided by deep empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to holistic healing for individuals, families, and communities.
